Last weekend’s culinary adventure in Portland left me feeling inspired and eager to jump in the kitchen with my girls. Since we just returned, our fridge was a bit bare, however, there’s a few staples I always have on hand (because they’re my favorites). So with the help of little hands (and hungry tummies), we created a Chocolate Covered Smoothie Bowl…because it sounded good.
We started with ZICO Coconut Water – because it’s loaded with potassium (& Mila’s beverage of choice!).
Then added a serving of Healthy Skoop B-Strong Protein Shake in Choco-lot – which is a Plant-Based Protein (16grams), that’s also Organic, Low Glycemic & Gluten, Soy, Whey, Dairy, GMO – Free!
We also included a serving of the Plant-Based Greens Blend by Healthy Skoop – because our bodies were craving some superfoods and probiotics post-vacay. This helps balance everything out – digestion and adrenal support.
Then a serving of Kretschmer Wheat Germ because it’s an excellent source of Vitamin E & Folic Acid (we need this ladies!)
And of course we added a handful of greens – I love OrganicGirl SuperGreens – because roughage is necessary…daily!
Added some frozen cherries (antioxidants!) and ice cubes, blended for about 30 seconds and topped with my favorites – granola, coconut, more cherries and a Van’s Gramwich!
And that’s how you regroup from vacation! Enjoy!
